somewhere to land
Somewhere to Land was a unique, site-specific performance presented in collaboration with world-renowned vertical dance company BANDALOOP and West End Arts District. Performed on September 26, 27, and 28th, the performance drew an audience of over 6,000 people to Hangar 25 on Alameda Point. While lifting the sustainability goals of Alameda's visionary De-Pave Park, Somewhere to Land invited attendees into a personal inquiry of these decaying military structures and resilient wetlands, a place where birds and humans might meet in steadily rising tidal rhythms.
Somewhere to Land featured an original live musical score by Bay Area luminaries, Destani Wolf and Ben Juodvalkis.
