Calling all photography & climate lovers!
In anticipation of next years In Plain Site exhibition, West End Arts District and Radium Presents are teaming up with East Bay Regional Parks District, CASA, and Greenbelt Alliance to present a guided photography walk at Crab Cove to capture the next King Tide on Saturday December 14th. There will be an opportunity learn how to capture key moments like the King Tides with your phone, observe the King Tide and hear how Alameda’s shorelines must respond to rising seas in the future.

Witness the Future with Bay Area's King Tides
This November 15–17 and December 13–15, the Bay Area will experience its annual King Tides, when the gravitational pull of the sun, moon, and Earth align to create unusually high and low tides. These tides are more than just a spectacle—they offer a rare preview of our future coastline as sea levels continue to rise.
We invite artists and community members to explore our shorelines, observe, and capture the powerful changes. Share your unique perspectives by tagging #RisingTidesAlameda and #WestEndArtsDistrict, and submit your photos to the California King Tides Project to help document changes to California coasts and estuaries.
