WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY IN SHAPING YOUR COMMUNITY’S FUTURE?

RISING TIDES is a year-long climate arts initiative featuring extraordinary experiences to educate and inspire community action to positively impact climate change in Alameda and beyond.

Sparking curiosity, urgency, and hope for the future

A partnership between the City of Alameda, West End Arts District, Radium Presents, and Rhythmix Cultural Works, RISING TIDES explores the transformative power of public art to connect people and inspire action. The collaborative initiative encourages reflection on how we can contribute to a climate-friendly future for our community and the world at large.

Engage in a year-long series of public programs created to explore the impacts of climate change, all held in the San Francisco Bay Area’s most densely populated island city of Alameda.

Somewhere to Land

Somewhere to Land is a unique, site-specific performance presented in collaboration with world-renowned vertical dance company BANDALOOP and West End Arts District. Lifting up the sustainability goals of Alameda's visionary De-Pave Park, this experience invites us into a personal inquiry of these decaying military structures and resilient wetlands, a place where birds and humans might meet in steadily rising tidal rhythms.
